Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
A name or place entered in a search tool is sent directly to the outside provider operating that feature. The provider processes the query and supplies its results. We do not retain or log those search terms on our systems.
Messages and Contact Submissions
We retain a message sent by email as needed to respond. It remains within our organization unless disclosure is required by law.
Data We Gather Automatically
Our systems automatically receive basic technical information whenever a page loads:
- Page-view dates and times
- Your device’s IP address
- Browser name and version
- Operating system and device category
- Visited pages and time spent
- A referring website, when available
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies are small device files that help measure traffic patterns, including popular pages and exit points. Analytics providers combine that usage data. Browser controls can block cookies, although doing so may change how some features work.
What We Do With This Data
- Routing a query to the selected search provider
- Operating the website and maintaining its speed
- Finding and resolving technical faults
- Measuring which content is useful or needs improvement
- Displaying advertising that may reflect visitor interests
No Criminal-Record Data on File
We do not host, assemble, or sell a database of personal criminal records. Paulding County guidance identifies official sources such as the Sheriff Records Division, court clerks, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation and GCIC, and the Georgia Sex Offender Registry. We are not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and visitor information is not converted into a consumer report or third-party dossier.
Third-Party Search Partners
Independent companies operate the search boxes. Their privacy terms, retention periods, and disclosure practices govern submitted information. We do not control those policies, so review the provider’s terms before using its tool.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to sheriff, court, Georgia agency, legal-aid, or outside search websites. Once you follow one, the destination’s privacy policy controls. Read it before providing personal information.
Advertising providers may use their own systems to measure activity across websites and select targeted advertising.
Who Might See Your Data
Personal data is not sold. Limited information may be available to:
- Analytics vendors measuring site traffic and performance
- Search providers processing a query you submit
- Advertising networks serving page ads
- Government or law-enforcement bodies acting under a valid legal demand
How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable, standard safeguards protect collected data. No internet service can guarantee absolute security, so we cannot promise that an incident will never occur.
Users Under 18
The website is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal data from anyone younger than 18. If such information is identified, we will remove it after notice.
Your Data Rights
Georgia consumer protections, including the Georgia Fair Business Practices Act, O.C.G.A. §§10-1-390 through 10-1-407, may provide rights based on the facts and a user’s residence. At a minimum, you may:
- Object to certain forms of processing
- Request access to information held about you
- Ask that inaccurate information be corrected
- Request deletion of your information
